Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend the clinic?

The clinic is designed to serve survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Although our services are tailored to survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse, we invite all individuals interested in participating in the clinic’s programs and workshops to attend.

What do I need to bring on the day of the clinic?

ID is not necessary for all clinics, but it might be at some locations (e.g., New York). Please check those city-specific pages for more details. If you have a resume, we encourage you to bring it for the resume and interview workshop, but one is not necessary to participate in the workshop.

Do I need a referral to attend the clinic?

No. Start Anew greatly appreciates the help of local organizations in spreading the word and encouraging their clients to attend the clinic, but you do not need to be referred by an organization in order to attend.

What services are offered at the clinic?

Each of the clinics provides services aimed at meeting the needs of survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Common services that may be provided in your city include financial literacy workshops, resume writing support, information and resources from HR professionals regarding job openings and applications, and free professional workwear.
